PRE-HISTORY
The famous Rafols brothers created Skycam with the aim of filming aerial shots for cinema, television and advertising. They began recording their first jobs with helicopters, but they soon modernized when they discovered the benefits of drones and built their own drone to perfect their recordings. In 2016, Carlos Poveda met the Rafols brothers during a shoot and incorporated Skycam into the UMILES Group.
UMILES Group
The leading company in unmanned aerial systems. The group operates six business lines providing 360º customized professional services, initially in Spain and now worldwide. Our core activities include the operation, training, development, and management of unmanned systems.
PATENT GRANTED
After years of development, the first-ever successful flight took place along with a proof of concept and its corresponding indoor flight. As a result, FlyFree Patent is granted making both rotary and eVTOL the most stable flight control system ever developed.
UMILES NEXT
UMILES Next is born. The experience within the Group along with the expertise of a new player, Tecnalia as a technology partner, has enabled UMILES to take a new step into promoting urban mobility by creating the group´s new business, UMILES NEXT Mobility, with a new concept in sustainable aviation, FlyFree Technology.
WORLD ATM CONGRESS
UMILES is a founding partner of the World ATM Congress, recognising the importance of incorporating unmanned aviation in the air traffic management space and placing UMILES at the centre of the conversation.
CONCEPT INTEGRITY
We keep developing our platforms with the most advanced technological innovations. Concept integrity is our new Air Taxi prototype that will be introduced at the next World ATM Congress, taking place in June 2022 and will fly in different European initiatives during this year.
INTEGRITY
The Integrity enters the design phase. A short to medium-range eVTOL featuring FlyFree technology built up from the proven UMILES Next Concept aircrafts and sized for a smaller initial market, focused mainly in executive and tourism markets.
GROUND MOBILITY
A new and exciting challenge in Urban Mobility with the expansion of our activity to include GROUND solutions, in addition to AIR Mobility, the origin of our activity. UMILES Next will lead the development of advanced mobility applications for Ground Operators, as well as aerial ones. A new adventure that we are sure will change the rules of The Next Generation of Mobility.

UMILES Next was a leading figure again at the next World ATM Congress in June 2022, where we presented our eVTOL along with other innovations.
